About The Position
The Part-Time Sales Associate supports selling efforts and customer relationships by providing excellent customer service and applying sales techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Key priorities are customer service, sales, and teamwork. The associate works in a fast-paced retail environment and follows direction from store management.
Requirements
- Previous retail or customer-service work experience is preferred but not required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and coworkers.
- Basic fashion and style-trend knowledge and an interest in working with customers in a retail setting.
- Problem-solving, analytical, detail-orientation, flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills to provide customer service and support inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities
- Use basic fashion and trend knowledge to identify appropriate merchandise for customers, meet their needs, and build customer relationships while maintaining DTLR standards.
- Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
- Present a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression to customers and maintain a positive, enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
- Comply with company policies.
- Participate in service training and product programs.
- Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and maintain adequate size runs according to visual directions.
- Assist in preventing employee and customer theft.
- Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
- Help keep the store organized as directed by store management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
