About The Position

Vince is seeking a customer service-driven Seasonal Sales Associate to generate sales and build customer relationships in a retail store. The associate identifies customer needs, demonstrates product knowledge, and continues client contact beyond the initial sale by collecting customer contact information and following up through phone, email, or written communication. The role also maintains store visual and housekeeping standards, handles merchandise receiving and presentation, processes markdowns and transfers, and uses the point-of-sale register and email systems. The position is full-time and seasonal, located at Woodbury Common Premium Outlets. The anticipated base salary is $18 to $20 per hour; exact compensation depends on experience, skills, budget, and geographic location.

Requirements

Willingness to initiate contact with customers and identify their shopping needs.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Computer skills to operate a retail POS system, Word, Excel, and email.
Ability to lift, carry, or otherwise move objects weighing up to 35 pounds while merchandising the sales floor, and to use ladders or stairs.

Responsibilities

Achieve and exceed personal sales and productivity goals agreed upon with the store manager.
Demonstrate knowledge of merchandise features and benefits to maximize sales opportunities.
Listen to customers, identify their needs, and overcome objections when raised.
Develop client relationships beyond the initial transaction through phone, email, and written follow-up.
Maintain store housekeeping and visual standards.
Operate the POS register and email systems.
Safeguard store inventory by following the company loss prevention program.
Follow store operational policies and procedures.
Manage client books and perform clienteling.
Receive merchandise and present it on the selling floor, process markdowns, and remove merchandise from the floor for transfers.
