About The Position
The Sales Associate serves as a point of contact for customers and helps maximize store profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting company assets. The role includes assisting customers with locating and purchasing merchandise, operating the cash register, stocking and recovering merchandise, cleaning the store, and performing other duties assigned by the Store Manager.
Requirements
- Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
- Understanding of safety policies and practices.
- Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandise presentation guides.
- Knowledge of basic cash-handling procedures.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to perform cash register functions.
- Ability to stock merchandise.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers.
- Operate the cash register and scanner to itemize purchases, collect payment, make change, bag merchandise, and assist customers with merchandise as needed.
- Follow company merchandise processes by unpacking, stocking, restocking, and rotating merchandise on shelves.
- Build merchandise displays.
- Clean the store, take out trash, dust and mop floors, and clean the restroom and receiving room.
- Help set up sidewalk displays.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
