About The Position

BJC HealthCare is hiring a PRN Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) for the Heart and Vascular Center of Excellence at Memorial Hospital Belleville in Belleville, Illinois. New graduates, upcoming graduates, and experienced sonographers are welcome to apply. The position follows a PRN, as-needed schedule on the day shift from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with no call.

The Cardiac Sonographer performs cardiac testing, including treadmill stress testing, Holter monitoring, transthoracic echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, stress echocardiography, and cardiac Doppler. The role performs tests and procedures at various locations and maintains patient logs and files, as well as daily computer charges and cardiac lab menus.

Requirements

• RDCS registry or equivalent is required.
• Associate's degree or trade school equivalency.
• A high school diploma or GED is listed as the minimum education requirement.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's degree in Allied Health or Sonography.
• Less than two years of experience.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac tests and procedures at various locations.
• Maintain accurate patient logs.
• Update daily charges in the computer and use cardiac lab menus in the computer.
• Maintain cardiac lab patient files.
