About The Position

The Part-Time Sales Associate drives sales and customer relationships through strong customer service and selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising, sales, customer relations, and store maintenance, with a focus on customer service, sales, and teamwork. Associates help customers find appropriate merchandise, maintain visual standards and inventory presentation, support shipments and restocking, and keep the sales floor organized. They follow company policies and assist in preventing employee and customer theft. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Previous retail or customer service work experience is preferred but not required.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
• Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
• Problem-solving, analytical, detail-orientation, flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills to provide customer service and support inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Use fashion and trend knowledge to meet customer needs by selling appropriate merchandise, following DTLR standards, and building customer relationships.
• Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
• Provide each customer with a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression and maintain an enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
• Comply with company policies and participate in service training and product programs.
• Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and maintain adequate size runs as directed.
• Assist in eliminating employee and customer theft.
• Keep the sales environment neat and orderly and help organize the store as directed by management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
