About The Position

Minuteman Food Mart is seeking a dedicated, customer-focused Sales Associate to help create a positive and welcoming environment for customers. Nice To Haves

Prior experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of cash-handling procedures and experience operating cash registers or POS systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

Greet customers courteously and provide exceptional customer service.
Help customers locate products and answer questions about merchandise, pricing, and promotions.
Operate cash registers and POS systems to process cash, card, and other electronic payments accurately.
Keep shelves, displays, and product arrangements clean and organized.
Stock shelves, coolers, and displays, rotating and organizing products appropriately.
Monitor inventory and notify a supervisor when products need restocking.
Follow procedures for handling cash, coupons, and discounts.
Maintain knowledge of products, new arrivals, and promotions.
Check expiration dates and remove expired or damaged products.
Follow food safety and handling procedures for perishable items.
Work with team members to support store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate issues when needed.
Follow company policies and safety and security procedures.
Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
