About The Position

The Sales Associate creates a memorable shopping experience for customers by helping them with their hair and beauty needs, including hair color, cosmetics, skin care, and nails. The role involves building customer relationships, recommending products, sharing information about promotions and loyalty programs, and completing transactions. Cosmoprof provides product education and training to support associates in advising customers. Associates also help maintain the store environment and merchandise displays. A range of working schedules and hours is available to suit different needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be available to meet the scheduling needs of the business.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with customers, co-workers, and management.
• Ability to apply knowledge from product training to support customer service.
• Ability to read and explain product labels.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, occasionally while on a ladder, with or without accommodation.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of retail sales or customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with customers and inspire loyalty.
• Recommend additional and complementary products.
• Inform customers about current promotions and events.
• Set up advertising displays and arrange merchandise to highlight sales and promotional events.
• Inform customers about and enroll them in the Loyalty program.
• Complete transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a professional store environment and communicate inventory issues.
• Demonstrate Cosmoprof Culture Values.
• Apply product knowledge training to support customer service.
• Follow directions and perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
