About The Position
The Part-Time Sales Associate drives selling efforts and builds customer relationships through strong customer service and sales techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Key priorities are customer service, sales, and teamwork. The associate helps customers find appropriate merchandise, supports shipment and inventory activities, maintains visual standards and an orderly sales environment, and follows company policies and training programs. The position requires standing for extended periods and lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds. Reliable transportation is required.
Requirements
- Previous retail or customer service work experience is preferred but not required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
- Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
- Problem-solving, analytical, detail-oriented, flexible, communication, and interpersonal abilities to provide excellent customer service and support accurate inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and work flexibly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities
- Display basic fashion and trend knowledge and meet customer needs by selling appropriate merchandise while maintaining DTLR standards and building relationships.
- Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
- Present a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression to customers and demonstrate an enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
- Comply with all company policies.
- Participate in service training and product programs.
- Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and ensure adequate size runs are represented according to visual directions.
- Assist in preventing employee and customer theft.
- Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
- Help keep the store organized as directed by store management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
