About The Position

The Sales Associate is responsible for providing quality customer service and driving product sales. The role requires knowledge of products across store departments, adherence to company policies and visual standards, and full promotion of sales and promotions. As an ambassador for the organization and brand, the Sales Associate helps create a distinctive customer experience and acquire and retain customers. This part-time, non-exempt position is based at the Forest Park, Georgia (Clayton Plaza) store and reports to the Store Manager. The stated hourly pay is $11.75.

Requirements

0–2 years of customer service experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks accurately.
Team player passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

Provide extraordinary customer service, including welcoming customers as they enter and assisting multiple customers during peak periods.
Promote and sell the organization's services and merchandise.
Set goals to improve selling skills and track overall sales.
Follow company policies, procedures, and standards in the operations, personnel, visual, and customer service manuals, as well as company memos.
Assist with daily store operations, including work lists, cleanup lists, weekly shipments, and store maintenance.
Present merchandise to promote and sell products, using guidance in the product knowledge manual.
Achieve or exceed sales targets and goals.
Communicate merchandise needs, pricing concerns, and operational problems to store management.
Attend all staff meetings and store tech clinics.
Protect company assets and financial information by following internal control procedures and reporting potential fraud risks to management or appropriate officials.
