About The Position

The Sales Associate provides quality customer service and drives product sales. The role requires knowledge of products in each store area or department, promotion of sales and promotions, and adherence to visual standards. As an ambassador for the organization and brand, the Sales Associate creates a distinctive customer experience and helps acquire and retain long-time customers. The role is part-time and based at the Meadowbrook Mall in Pittsburg, Kansas, with an hourly pay range of $9.00 to $9.00. It is a non-exempt position in Operations and reports to the Store Manager. There are no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

0–2 years of customer service experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks accurately.
Team player passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

Provide extraordinary customer service, including welcoming customers and assisting multiple customers during peak periods.
Promote and sell the organization's services and merchandise.
Set goals to improve selling skills and track overall sales.
Follow company policies, procedures, and standards outlined in manuals and company communications.
Assist with daily store operations, including work lists, cleanup lists, weekly shipments, and store maintenance.
Present merchandise to promote and sell goods using guidance from the product knowledge manual.
Meet or exceed sales targets and goals.
Identify and communicate merchandise needs, pricing concerns, and operational problems to store management.
Attend all store staff meetings and tech clinics.
Protect company assets and financial information by ensuring effective internal controls and reporting potential fraud risks to management or appropriate officials.
