About The Position

The Sales Associate at Habitat Charlotte Region provides exceptional customer service and supports the sales team in achieving sales targets. The role involves engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and offering suitable solutions to enhance their shopping experience. The Sales Associate also promotes the company’s values and contributes to the overall success of the store. Expected pay is $17.75 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of experience in a sales or customer service role.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience in a retail environment is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and determine their needs, providing assistance and information about product features.
Maintain product knowledge to communicate product benefits and features effectively.
Support sales goals by promoting products and upselling when appropriate.
Keep the sales floor organized, clean, and visually appealing.
Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system.
Respond professionally to customer inquiries and complaints, offering solutions and escalating issues when necessary.
Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain a positive work environment.
Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and conducting inventory counts.
Support promotional activities and special events to increase customer engagement and sales.
Follow company policies and procedures and comply with safety and security standards.
