About The Position

The Sales Associate creates a memorable shopping experience for Cosmoprof customers and helps guide them through their beauty needs, including hair color, cosmetics, skin care, and nails. Cosmoprof provides product knowledge and training; the associate brings passion and personality to the role. The position also involves maintaining a professional store environment and demonstrating Cosmoprof’s culture values. The company offers a range of working schedules and hours to suit different needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be available to meet the scheduling needs of the business.
• Able to communicate clearly and concisely with customers, co-workers, and management.
• Able to apply knowledge gained from product training to support customer service.
• Able to read and explain product labels.
• Able to follow directions and perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally while on a ladder, with or without accommodation.
• The position involves long periods of standing and walking; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; and recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as shipment or record boxes.
• The position involves working around moving parts, carts, or machines, and may occasionally include exposure to irritant chemicals, fumes, or odors.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of retail sales or customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build customer relationships and inspire loyalty.
• Recommend additional and complementary products.
• Inform customers about current promotions and events.
• Set up advertising displays and arrange merchandise to highlight sales and promotional events.
• Inform customers about the Loyalty program and enroll them.
• Complete transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a professional store environment and communicate inventory issues.
• Demonstrate Cosmoprof Culture Values.
• Apply product knowledge training to support customer service.
• Read and explain product labels.
• Follow directions and perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
