About The Position

American Giant is hiring a Sales Associate for its new menswear-focused store in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The store combines American Giant apparel with a curated selection of accessories and lifestyle goods from other American-made brands. The Sales Associate creates engaging shopping experiences, builds lasting customer relationships, shares product knowledge, supports store operations, and helps foster local community engagement. The role is full-time, with a listed pay range of $19.50 to $21.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least 18 years old.
Available to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including nights, weekends, peak busy season, and high-traffic retail days such as public holidays.
Able to regularly lift at least 25 pounds and climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver throughout the sales floor and stockroom.
Deep understanding of and enthusiasm for the American Giant brand.

Nice To Haves

One or more years of customer service experience in a retail environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Initiate authentic, personalized conversations and interactions with customers.
Use technology to enhance the customer experience.
Share product knowledge, recommendations, and personal experiences with customers.
Suggest alternative products, complementary pieces, outfit tips, and styling ideas suited to customers’ styles and interests.
Take initiative to develop job skills and knowledge to support store sales and operational results.
Assist with daily projects while maintaining a focus on the customer experience.
Follow loss prevention, inventory control, safety standards, and other company policies and procedures.
Maintain store and backstock standards.
Assist with in-store events.
Help drive local community engagement.
