About The Position

A part-time Sales Associate drives sales efforts and customer relationships through strong customer service and selling techniques. The role includes daily store functions such as product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. The main priorities are customer service, sales, and teamwork.

Requirements

Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not necessary.
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
Problem-solving and analytical abilities, attention to detail, flexibility, communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to provide excellent customer service, maintain accurate inventory control, transport merchandise, and maintain the store.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Previous work experience in retail or customer service.

Responsibilities

Use basic fashion and trend knowledge to identify customer needs, recommend appropriate merchandise, and build customer relationships while maintaining DTLR standards.
Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
Provide each customer with a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression and demonstrate enthusiasm toward the job and company.
Comply with company policies.
Participate in service training and product programs.
Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and ensure adequate size runs according to visual directions.
Assist in preventing employee and customer theft.
Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
Keep the store organized as directed by store management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
