About The Position

The Sales Associate provides quality customer service and drives product sales. This role requires knowledge of each product area or department and adherence to the company’s policies, procedures, and visual standards. The associate promotes sales and promotions and serves as an ambassador for the organization and brand, creating a distinctive customer experience that helps acquire and retain customers. The position supports daily store operations and focuses on outstanding customer service and merchandise promotion. There are no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

0–2 years of customer service experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks accurately.
Team player passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

Provide extraordinary customer service, including assisting customers as they enter the store and helping multiple customers during peak periods.
Promote and sell the organization’s services and merchandise.
Set goals to improve selling skills and track overall sales.
Uphold company policies, procedures, and standards in the operations, personnel, visual, and customer service manuals, and company memos.
Assist with daily store operations, including work lists, cleanup lists, weekly shipments, and store maintenance.
Present merchandise to promote and sell goods, using guidance in the product knowledge manual.
Achieve and/or exceed sales targets and goals.
Identify and communicate merchandise needs, pricing concerns, and operational problems to store management.
Attend all staff meetings and store tech clinics.
Protect company assets and financial information by following internal control procedures and reporting potential fraud risks to management or appropriate officials.
