About The Position

The part-time Sales Associate helps customers have a positive experience in a DTLR store by driving sales and building customer relationships through strong service and selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are central to the position.

Requirements

Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and coworkers.
Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
Problem-solving, analytical, detail-orientation, flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to provide customer service, maintain accurate inventory control, transport merchandise, and perform store maintenance.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Use basic fashion and trend knowledge to identify customer needs, recommend suitable merchandise, and build customer relationships while maintaining DTLR standards.
Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
Provide each customer with a positive, energetic, and welcoming impression, while maintaining an enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
Comply with company policies.
Participate in service training and product programs.
Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and maintain adequate size runs as directed.
Help prevent employee and customer theft.
Maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
Help keep the store organized as directed by store management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
