About The Position

The Part-Time Sales Associate drives selling efforts and customer relationships by providing excellent customer service and using effective selling techniques. The role includes daily store functions such as product merchandising, sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. The position emphasizes customer service, sales, and teamwork. Associates must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, stand for extended periods, lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, and work extended hours during critical project phases.

Requirements

Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not necessary.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
Problem-solving and analytical abilities, attention to detail, flexibility, communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to provide customer service, maintain accurate inventory control, transport merchandise, and maintain the store.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Use fashion and trend knowledge to meet customer needs by selling appropriate merchandise, maintaining DTLR standards, and building customer relationships.
Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
Present a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression to customers and maintain a positive attitude toward the job and company.
Comply with company policies.
Participate in service training and product programs.
Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and maintain adequate size runs according to visual directions.
Help prevent employee and customer theft.
Maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
Help organize the store as directed by store management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
