About The Position

The Part-Time Sales Associate drives selling efforts and customer relationships through excellent customer service and selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. The most important aspects of the position are customer service, sales, and teamwork.

The associate displays basic fashion and trend knowledge, helps customers select appropriate merchandise, and builds customer relationships while maintaining DTLR standards. The position also supports shipments, merchandising, restocking, pricing, visual standards, store organization, and theft prevention. Associates are expected to maintain a positive, energetic, and enthusiastic attitude, comply with company policies, and participate in service training and product programs.

This role requires standing for extended periods and lifting, carrying, or pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds. Associates may need to work extended hours during critical project phases and must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Reliable transportation is required.

Requirements

• Previous retail or customer-service experience is preferred but not necessary.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
• Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
• Problem-solving, analytical, detail-orientation, flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills to support customer service, inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Reliable transportation.
