About The Position

The Sales Associate works in a boutique eye care office, providing customer service and eyewear sales to patients. The role includes merchandising and selling eyewear, processing frame and lens orders, adjusting frames, maintaining inventory, and filing insurance claims. Training is provided, with the opportunity to develop skills in the optical industry. The position reports directly to the Practice Manager and collaborates with a team focused on eye care and personalized patient experiences.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in a sales role.
• Willingness to complete ABOC certification within the first year of employment.
• Strong computer skills and accuracy when entering patient information.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills for patient interactions.
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR).

Responsibilities

• Engage with patients to understand their needs and guide them in selecting eyewear.
• Process patient frame and lens orders by sending them to the appropriate lab on the same day as the transaction.
• Maintain the retail floor according to merchandising guidelines.
• Adjust frames to ensure a proper fit and patient satisfaction.
• Conduct inventory checks on optical frames and maintain accurate records.
• File insurance claims promptly to support timely arrival and payment of patient orders.
• Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in spectacle lens technology.
