About The Position

Vitalant is hiring a Mobile Phlebotomist to support its donor care team and help provide blood donation services in communities. The role involves traveling with the phlebotomy team to blood drives within a 260-mile range of Spokane and may also include working with donors at local donation centers. Overnight travel occurs weekly, with hotel and meals covered. No prior phlebotomy experience is required; paid training is provided.

Training lasts 10 weeks, Monday through Friday. The schedule is 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. for the first two weeks and 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. for the remaining training period. After training, the full-time schedule has variable hours between 5:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m., following either a Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday schedule.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel throughout the service area, including overnight hotel stays.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors and help keep them comfortable and informed.
• Perform blood draws after completing paid training.
• Maintain accurate and organized donor information.
• Set up, operate, and break down equipment at mobile blood drives.
• Package and transport blood products according to established procedures.
• Travel with the phlebotomy team to blood drives within the service area and assist at local donation centers.
