About The Position

As a Sales Associate, you provide customers with a unique shopping experience by delivering excellent customer service and using effective selling techniques and in-depth product knowledge in a fast-paced specialty retail environment. The role supports sales goals, customer service, merchandise presentation, store maintenance, and accurate register transactions. This is a seasonal sales outlet position in Tanger.

• Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.
• Ability to operate a POS system.
• Ability to lift and mobilize items up to 75 lbs. using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• 1–2 years of customer service and retail sales experience.
• Open availability for full-time associates to meet business needs.
• Part-time Flex associates must be available for at least two regularly scheduled weekend shifts and two weekday shifts; weekend availability must cover two separate days. Additional availability is required to be scheduled for 20 or more hours weekly.

Nice To Haves

• Specialty retail experience preferred, but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide sincere, friendly, energetic customer service in accordance with World-Class service standards.
• Achieve established sales and contest goals.
• Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions.
• Assist customers with services such as gift wrapping, gift registry, locating merchandise, catalog orders, special orders, back orders, charge sends, courier deliveries, and furniture orders.
• Use effective selling techniques to build multiple sales and increase productivity.
• Demonstrate comprehensive product knowledge, including features and benefits.
• Perform register transactions accurately and efficiently, including sales, returns, and exchanges.
• Assist with implementation and maintenance of visual merchandise presentation, signage, and lighting.
• Maintain store cleanliness and upkeep; straighten and clean, and help maintain the stockroom as needed.
• Process, ticket, and restock merchandise as needed.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
