About The Position

As a Sales Associate, you provide customers with a unique shopping experience through excellent customer service, effective selling techniques, and in-depth product knowledge in a fast-paced specialty retail environment. The role involves meeting sales goals, assisting customers with a variety of services, processing transactions, supporting visual merchandising, and helping maintain the store and stockroom. The position is seasonal and titled “Seasonal Sales Outlet Tanger.”

Requirements

• 1–2 years of customer service and retail sales experience; specialty retail experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to operate a POS system.
• Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and mobilize medium to large items up to 75 lbs., using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Full-time associates are expected to have open availability to meet business needs.
• Part-Time Flex associates must be available for at least two regularly scheduled weekend shifts (Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday) and two shifts during the week (Monday through Thursday). To be scheduled for 20 or more hours weekly, greater availability is required. Weekend availability must cover two separate days.

Responsibilities

• Provide sincere, friendly, energetic customer service in line with World-Class service standards.
• Achieve established sales and contest goals and maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions.
• Assist customers with gift wrap, gift registry, locating merchandise, catalog orders, special orders, back orders, charge sends, courier deliveries, and furniture orders.
• Use effective selling techniques to build multiple sales and increase productivity.
• Demonstrate comprehensive product knowledge, including product features and benefits.
• Accurately perform register transactions, including sales, returns, and exchanges.
• Assist with implementation and maintenance of visual merchandise presentation, signage, and lighting.
• Maintain store cleanliness and maintenance standards; straighten, clean, and help maintain the stockroom as needed.
• Process, ticket, and restock merchandise as needed.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.
• Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
