About The Position

The Sales Outfitter - Firearms maintains counter sales and customer service for firearms, along with floor and counter sales of other hunting merchandise. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by greeting customers promptly and courteously, handling merchandise carefully, and providing information, assistance, and direction. The associate helps customers make informed purchases, maintains firearm sales records, merchandise, and displays, and keeps current on products, promotions, pricing, and company procedures. Duties may also include other assignments as directed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Knowledge of firearms and ammunition products.
• Knowledge of ATF federal and state regulations.
• Customer service and sales experience with firearms and ammunition.
• GCA knowledge.
• Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.
• Ability to stand and/or walk throughout the shift.
• Ability to occasionally use ladders, stairs, ramps, machinery, power tools, motor vehicles, or heavy equipment as needed.
• Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally lift or move objects up to 100 pounds or more with team-lift assistance as needed.
• Ability to occasionally work in tight or confined spaces and noisy environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, world-class customer service and help create a pleasant shopping experience.
• Identify and evaluate customer needs and recommend products based on that assessment.
• Promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Ensure Form 4473 is completed thoroughly and accurately.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Organize and maintain merchandise for sales at the gun counter and throughout the retail store.
• Replenish shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
