About The Position

The Part-Time Firearms Associate, titled Sales Outfitter - Firearms in the position summary, maintains firearms counter sales and customer service, and supports floor and counter sales of other hunting merchandise. The role involves greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction.

The associate supports a world-class customer-service commitment and helps create a pleasant, productive shopping experience. They assist customers with purchasing decisions by identifying and evaluating needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup. The role also includes ensuring Form 4473 completion is thorough and accurate, demonstrating products, organizing and replenishing merchandise, maintaining product knowledge, and keeping pricing, signage, and the work area in order. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• 0–2 years of experience in retail.
• Knowledge of firearms and ammunition products.
• Knowledge of ATF federal and state regulations.
• Customer-service and sales knowledge for firearms and ammunition.
• Knowledge of GCA.
• Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, prompt customer service and help create a pleasant and productive shopping experience.
• Identify and evaluate customer needs, recommend products, and assist customers with buying decisions.
• Promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Ensure Form 4473 documents are completed thoroughly and accurately.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Organize and maintain merchandise for gun-counter sales and replenish shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
