About The Position

The Firearms Sales Associate maintains counter sales and customer service for firearms, along with floor and counter sales of other hunting merchandise. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by greeting customers promptly and courteously, handling merchandise carefully, and providing information, assistance, and direction.

The associate helps customers make purchasing decisions by identifying their needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup. The role also includes completing ATF Form 4473 accurately, demonstrating products, maintaining and replenishing merchandise, staying current on product knowledge and advertised sales, and keeping the work area clean and stocked. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of retail experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Knowledge of firearms and ammunition products.
• Knowledge of ATF federal and state regulations.
• Knowledge of firearms and ammunition customer service and sales, including GCA.
• Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.

• Support a strong commitment to world-class customer service and provide a pleasant, productive shopping experience.
• Assist customers with purchasing decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and making product recommendations.
• Promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Ensure Form 4473 is completed thoroughly and accurately.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Organize and maintain merchandise for sales at the gun counter.
• Replenish products on shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing training.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
