About The Position

The Sales Outfitter - Firearms maintains counter sales and customer service for firearms, along with floor and counter sales of other hunting merchandise. The role includes greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction.

The position supports a strong commitment to customer service and helps create a pleasant shopping experience by understanding customer needs, recommending products, and promoting programs. It also involves accurately completing Form 4473, demonstrating products, maintaining and replenishing merchandise, staying current on product knowledge and advertised sales, and keeping the work area clean and stocked. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of retail experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Knowledge of firearms and ammunition products.
• Knowledge of ATF federal and state regulations.
• Knowledge of firearms and ammunition customer service and sales, including GCA.
• Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.
• Ability to stand and/or walk constantly during the shift.
• Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally move or lift objects up to 100 pounds or more with a team lift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, prompt customer service and help ensure a productive shopping experience.
• Assist customers with buying decisions by identifying and evaluating needs and making product recommendations.
• Promote programs, including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Complete Form 4473 thoroughly and accurately.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Organize and maintain merchandise for sales at the gun counter and elsewhere in the retail store.
• Replenish products on shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product knowledge through ongoing training and stay informed about advertised sales, pricing, and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
