About The Position

The Sales Outfitter - Firearms maintains counter sales and customer service for firearms, as well as floor and counter sales of other hunting merchandise. The role includes greeting customers promptly and courteously, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction.

The associate supports a high standard of customer service and helps create a productive shopping experience by identifying customers’ needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup. The position also involves accurately completing ATF Form 4473 paperwork, demonstrating products, maintaining and replenishing merchandise, staying current on product knowledge and advertised sales, and keeping the work area clean and stocked. The role is performed under general supervision, following established procedures and company policies while using occasional independent judgment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of retail experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Knowledge of firearms and ammunition products.
• Knowledge of ATF federal and state regulations.
• Customer service and sales experience or ability related to firearms and ammunition.
• Knowledge of GCA.
• Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Provide a pleasant, productive, and customer-focused shopping experience.
• Identify customer needs and recommend products based on those needs.
• Promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Complete Form 4473 thoroughly and accurately.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Organize and maintain merchandise in the retail store, including the gun counter.
• Replenish products on shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
