About The Position

Goodwill Industries of Tenneva is hiring a Retail Sales Associate to provide customer and donor service and help keep the store operating smoothly. The role involves working in different store areas as needed, including processing donations and merchandise, operating the POS system, and maintaining an organized and safe workspace. Team members support store goals through teamwork and positive communication while following Goodwill procedures and safety, security, and payment policies.

Requirements

• Basic computer and POS skills.
• Strong customer service and communication abilities.
• Reliability, flexibility, and initiative.
• Ability to work a varied schedule, including weekends.
• Team-oriented attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
• Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 35 pounds throughout a shift.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior retail, donation processing, or cash-handling experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, courteous service to customers and donors, greeting them warmly and thanking them.
• Operate the cash register and POS system accurately and efficiently.
• Receive and sort donations.
• Tag and price clothing and household goods.
• Process donated items for sale.
• Stock, rotate, and organize merchandise on the sales floor.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace in front- and back-of-store areas.
• Follow procedures of the Goodwill Push System for inventory flow.
• Adhere to safety, security, and payment policies.
• Participate in team meetings and support store goals through teamwork and positive communication.
