About The Position

Goodwill Industries of Tenneva is hiring a Retail Sales Associate to provide customer and donor service and help keep the store running smoothly. The role works in different areas of the store, including donation processing, merchandise preparation, stocking, and sales-floor organization. Team members are expected to follow inventory, safety, security, and payment procedures; maintain clean and organized workspaces; and support store goals through teamwork and positive communication. The position supports Goodwill programs in employment, education, and training.

Requirements

• Basic computer and POS skills.
• Strong customer service and communication abilities.
• Reliable, flexible, and able to take initiative.
• Ability to work a varied schedule, including weekends.
• Team-oriented attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
• Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 35 pounds throughout a shift.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior retail, donation processing, or cash-handling experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, courteous service to customers and donors, greeting them and thanking them.
• Operate the cash register and POS system accurately and efficiently.
• Receive and sort donations.
• Tag and price clothing and household goods.
• Process donated items for sale.
• Stock, rotate, and organize merchandise on the sales floor.
• Work in any area of the store as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized workspaces in front and back areas of the store.
• Follow the Goodwill Push System procedures for inventory flow.
• Adhere to safety, security, and payment policies.
• Participate in team meetings and support store goals through teamwork and positive communication.
