About The Position

The Sales Associate/Beauty Advisor focuses on creating a memorable shopping experience and helping customers with their beauty needs, including hair color, cosmetics, skin care, and nails. Sally Beauty provides product knowledge and training; the employee contributes passion and personality while advising customers on their shopping journey. The role also involves supporting store operations, maintaining a professional environment, and communicating inventory issues. Work schedules and hours vary to suit different needs, and availability must meet the business’s scheduling needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be available to meet the scheduling needs of the business.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with customers, co-workers, and management.
• Ability to apply product knowledge training to support customer service.
• Ability to read and explain product labels.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs, occasionally while on a ladder, with or without accommodation.
• The position requires long periods of standing and walking, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities, and recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as shipment or record boxes.
• The position involves working around moving parts, carts, or machines, and may occasionally include exposure to irritant chemicals. May also be exposed to fumes and odors upon occasion.

• One or more years of retail sales or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with customers and inspire loyalty.
• Recommend additional and complementary products.
• Inform customers about current promotions and events.
• Set up advertising displays and arrange merchandise to highlight sales and promotional events.
• Inform customers about and enroll them in the Loyalty program.
• Complete transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a professional store environment and communicate inventory issues.
• Demonstrate Sally Beauty Culture Values.
• Apply product knowledge training to support customer service.
• Read and explain product labels.
• Follow directions and perform other duties as assigned by management.
