About The Position

The Sales Associate/Beauty Advisor focuses on creating a memorable shopping experience for customers. The role advises customers on hair color, cosmetics, skin care, and nails, using product knowledge and training to support their beauty needs. Sally Beauty provides product education and training, while the associate contributes passion and personality. The position offers a range of working schedules and hours to suit different needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be available to meet the scheduling needs of the business.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with customers, co-workers, and management.
• Ability to apply knowledge from product training to support customer service.
• Ability to read and explain product labels.
• Ability to follow directions and perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, occasionally while on a ladder, with or without accommodation.
• Ability to perform physical activities including extended standing and walking, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, and lifting moderately heavy items such as shipment or record boxes.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of retail sales or customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with customers and inspire loyalty.
• Recommend additional and complementary products.
• Inform customers of current promotions and events.
• Set up advertising displays and arrange merchandise to highlight sales and promotional events.
• Inform customers about the Loyalty program and enroll them.
• Complete transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a professional store environment and communicate inventory issues.
• Demonstrate Sally Beauty Culture Values.
• Use product knowledge to advise customers and support their shopping experience.
