About The Position

The Sales Associate/Beauty Advisor creates a memorable shopping experience for customers by advising them on hair color, cosmetics, skin care, and nail products. Sally Beauty provides product knowledge training; the employee brings passion and personality to help customers with their beauty needs. The role also includes maintaining a professional store environment, assisting with promotions and merchandising, and supporting customer loyalty enrollment. Working schedules and hours vary to suit different needs and business requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be available to meet the scheduling needs of the business.
• Able to communicate clearly and concisely with customers, co-workers, and management.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally while on a ladder, with or without accommodation.
• The position requires long periods of standing and walking, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities, and recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as shipment or record boxes.
• The position involves working around moving parts, carts, or machines, and may occasionally include exposure to irritant chemicals; fumes and odors may also be encountered occasionally.

• One or more years of retail sales or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with customers and inspire loyalty.
• Recommend additional and complementary products.
• Inform customers about current promotions and events.
• Set up advertising displays and arrange merchandise to highlight sales and promotional events.
• Inform customers about and enroll them in the Loyalty program.
• Complete transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a professional store environment and communicate inventory issues.
• Demonstrate Sally Beauty Culture Values.
• Use product knowledge training to support customer service.
• Read and explain product labels.
• Follow directions and perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
