About The Position

The Sales and Service Specialist is an essential member of the Hertz Local Edition team and serves as a brand ambassador. The role facilitates a fast, easy, and valued rental car experience for Lyft and/or Uber drivers. The wage is $16.25 per hour, plus monthly incentives that vary based on job performance.

Requirements

• Must be at least 20 years old.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Previous customer service experience.
• Ability to demonstrate professionalism, enthusiasm, and outstanding communication skills.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills.
• Computer literacy and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of customer-service resolution practices and excellent communication techniques.
• Ability to demonstrate sales management/coaching ability.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism.
• High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative.
• Proven ability to work well within a team.
• Ability to communicate clearly and proficiently in English.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure optimal operational efficiency to provide customers with the best rental car experience.
• Help customers create rental car reservations, process rentals, and receive clean and safe vehicles.
• Assist customers with post-rental questions concerning rentals and billing.
• Provide helpful customer service that enhances the rental experience.
• Answer phone inquiries about the Hertz/Lyft/Uber Rental Car Program, rental requirements, billing, rental extensions, roadside assistance, and related topics.
• Communicate the Hertz/Lyft/Uber Rental Car Program and its procedures effectively.
• Seek business opportunities after customer inquiries and address customer objections.
• Prepare vehicles for customer pickup by checking for damage, cleaning interiors and exteriors, filling gas tanks, and checking fluid levels.
• Assist with special administrative projects as needed.
