About The Position

The Sales and Service Specialist is an essential member of the Hertz Local Edition team and serves as a brand ambassador. The role facilitates a fast, easy, and valued rental car experience for Lyft and/or Uber drivers. The position pays $18.50 per hour.

The specialist assists customers with reservations, rental processing, vehicle pickup, and post-rental inquiries involving rentals and billing. The role also includes answering phone inquiries about the Hertz/Lyft/Uber Rental Car Program, requirements, billing, extensions, and roadside assistance; explaining program procedures; and seeking opportunities to generate revenue by addressing customer objections.

The specialist prepares vehicles for pickup by checking for damage, cleaning interiors and exteriors, filling fuel tanks, and checking fluid levels. The position may also involve special administrative projects. It requires working outdoors in all weather conditions, standing for extended periods, and working flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, as well as overtime when required.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Answer phone inquiries about the Hertz/Lyft/Uber Rental Car Program, rental requirements, billing, rental extensions, roadside assistance, and related matters.
• Communicate the Hertz/Lyft/Uber Rental Car Program and its procedures effectively.
• Seek revenue opportunities by soliciting business after customer inquiries and overcoming customer objections.
