About The Position

The Sales and Service Specialist, TNC is an essential member of the Hertz Local Edition team and serves as a brand ambassador. The specialist facilitates a fast, easy, and valued rental car experience for Lyft and/or Uber drivers. The role combines customer service, rental processing, sales, vehicle preparation, and administrative support in a fast-paced environment. The hourly wage is $16.00.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of tasks.

• Previous customer service experience.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills.
• Computer literacy and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Knowledge of customer service resolution practices and excellent communication techniques.
• Sales management/coaching ability.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a high level of ownership, accountability, and initiative.
• Proven ability to work well within a team.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, and overtime as required.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to communicate clearly and proficiently in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with an efficient rental car experience and support operational effectiveness.
• Assist customers with rental reservations and rental processing, and provide clean, safe vehicles.
• Respond to post-rental inquiries about rentals and billing.
• Answer phone inquiries about the Hertz/Lyft/Uber Rental Car Program, rental requirements, billing, rental extensions, roadside assistance, and related topics.
• Communicate the Hertz/Lyft/Uber Rental Car Program and its procedures.
• Seek revenue opportunities by soliciting business and addressing customer objections.
• Prepare vehicles for customer pickup by checking for damage, cleaning interiors and exteriors, filling fuel tanks, and checking fluid levels.
• Assist with special administrative projects when needed.
