About The Position

Safety-Kleen, a subsidiary of Clean Harbors, is seeking a Sales and Service Route Driver Trainee (Driver Class B Trainee) in Greenwood. The role trains the employee to drive a Class B box truck to provide onsite service for parts washer machines, pick up containerized hazardous waste, and sell products and services along a defined route. The company pays for CDL training and acquisition. Requirements

Obtain a Class B CDL within 180 days of employment; the company pays for it.
Obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 30 days of obtaining a Class B CDL.
Ability to work independently while managing time and productivity.
Basic computer and math skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Problem-solving skills.
Ability to perform physical functions required by the job.
Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, as required for the position.

Nice To Haves

Strong customer service skills.
Commercial route driving experience (Class C or non-CDL).

Responsibilities

Prioritize health and safety by complying with safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting safely.
Complete scheduled daily services, deliveries, and pickups on time.
Switch out 15- and 30-gallon solution drums at customer locations.
Complete required documentation and labeling.
Generate or collect customer leads for new products and services.
Sell additional products and services to existing accounts.
Follow applicable local, state or provincial, and federal compliance regulations and rules.
Operate vehicles safely in accordance with U.S. DOT and applicable local, state or provincial, and federal requirements.
Follow corporate operating guidelines and procedures.
Follow company environmental health and safety operating guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
