About The Position

M/I Homes is seeking a Sales and Marketing Intern to assist the Sales & Marketing team throughout the home sales process. The role supports professional marketing materials and digital content, lead generation, buyer and local relationships, sales selections, and community management. The intern also helps with sales presentations, model-home readiness, customer and realtor communications, inventory-home marketing, tactical marketing, and marketing events. M/I Homes has built homes for more than 40 years and operates divisions in 17 markets.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a related undergraduate program or a recent graduate.
• Strong desire to learn and professional drive.
• Understanding of different marketing techniques.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
• Passion for the marketing industry and its best practices.
• Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly.

Responsibilities

• Assist New Home Consultants (NHCs) throughout the sales and selection process.
• Represent M/I Homes professionally and maintain a positive attitude.
• Help open model homes and ensure a professional presentation.
• Assist NHCs with presentations to realtors.
• Register customers and enter information into the Pivotal system.
• Help create and send flyers to customers, realtors, current homeowners, and for special events, grand openings, and open houses to generate traffic.
• Support the inventory home marketing program by processing website updates, tracking completion dates, editing and labeling photos for upload, and reviewing pricing for accuracy.
• Perform routine administrative tasks, including word processing, pricing updates, and ordering and maintaining sales-material supplies.
• Help monitor the accuracy of collateral materials, including handouts, brochures, sales literature, and the website.
• Assist with special projects and perform additional duties as required.
• Assist with tactical marketing.
• Help plan and host marketing events.
• Conduct market analysis and research on competitors.
