About The Position

M/I Homes is a homebuilder founded in 1976 that operates in 17 markets. The Sales and Marketing Intern assists the Sales & Marketing team across the sales process, including professional marketing materials and digital content, lead generation, buyer and local relationships, sale selection, and community management. The intern also supports marketing activities, events, administrative work, and market research.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a related undergraduate program or a recent graduate.
Strong desire to learn and professional drive.
Understanding of different marketing techniques.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
Passion for the marketing industry and its best practices.
Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly.

Responsibilities

Provide assistance to New Home Consultants (NHCs) throughout the sales and selection process.
Represent M/I Homes professionally and maintain a positive attitude.
Assist with opening model homes and ensuring a professional presentation.
Assist NHCs with presentations to realtors.
Register customers and enter information into the Pivotal system.
Help NHCs create and send flyers to customers, realtors, and current homeowners, and promote special events, grand openings, and open houses.
Support the inventory home marketing program by processing website updates, tracking completion dates, editing and labeling photos for upload, and reviewing pricing for accuracy.
Perform routine administrative functions, including word processing, pricing updates, and ordering and maintaining sales-material supplies.
Help monitor the accuracy of collateral materials, including handouts, brochures, sales literature, and website content.
Assist with special projects and perform additional duties as required.
Assist with tactical marketing.
Help plan and host marketing events.
Perform market analysis and research on competitors.
