Sale Day Driver - ADESA Tracy
About The Position
The Sale Day Driver helps move vehicles through the auction lanes during the car auction. This role is scheduled one day per week, Tuesdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and pays $18–$19 per hour. Drivers move, stage, and park vehicles in designated areas while following safety procedures and driving cautiously. The position involves indoor and outdoor work in varying weather and environmental conditions, and requires basic computer skills, a valid driver's license, and the ability to operate a motor vehicle. Hiring is contingent on passing a background check, and the role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver's license.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- Ability to work outdoors under any type of weather conditions.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must pass a complete background check.
Responsibilities
- Drive vehicles across the auction block while following safety guidelines, including wearing a seatbelt, placing the vehicle in park or neutral when stopping, and following the ADESA wedge.
- Safely move, stage, and park vehicles in the correct lot area.
- Immediately advise a supervisor or lane captain of breakdowns and maintenance needs.
- Learn, practice, and follow company safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Operate motor vehicles safely and use conservative, cautious, and courteous driving habits.
- Immediately report to a manager or supervisor anything that may jeopardize the ability to physically or legally operate a motor vehicle.
- Immediately report driving-related incidents, including citations, warnings, accidents, or mechanical problems, whether on or off the job and on private or public property.
- Perform other job-related duties or follow other job-related instructions as assigned.
