About The Position

Sale Day Drivers move vehicles through the auction lanes during auctions. The schedule is one day per week, on Thursdays, from approximately 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Drivers are trained and must follow company safety policies and procedures at all times. The role involves working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions, and requires the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Hiring is contingent on passing a background check; visa sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Ability to work outdoors in any type of weather conditions.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must pass a complete background check.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles across the auction block while following safety guidelines, including wearing a seatbelt, placing the vehicle in park or neutral when stopping, and following the ADESA wedge.
• Safely move, stage, and park vehicles in the correct lot area.
• Immediately advise a supervisor or lane captain of breakdowns and maintenance needs.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Operate motor vehicles safely and use conservative, cautious, and courteous driving habits.
• Immediately report to a manager or supervisor anything that may jeopardize the ability to physically or legally operate a motor vehicle.
• Immediately report driving-related incidents, including traffic citations, warnings, accidents, or mechanical problems, whether experienced on or off the job and on private or public property.
• Perform other job-related duties and follow other job-related instructions as assigned.
