About The Position

Sale Day Drivers help move cars through the auction lanes during the auction. The schedule is one day per week on Thursdays, approximately 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with an hourly pay range of $16.50–$17. Drivers receive training and must follow company safety policies and procedures at all times. The position involves working both indoors and outdoors and may expose employees to changing temperatures, weather, elevated ambient noise, fumes, odors, and dust. The physical activity level ranges from light to medium work. Reasonable accommodations may be made for employees with disabilities to perform essential job functions. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check, and the role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Ability to work outdoors in any type of weather conditions.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must pass a complete background check.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles across the auction block while following safety guidelines, including wearing a seatbelt, placing the vehicle in park or neutral when stopping, and following the ADESA wedge.
• Safely move, stage, and park vehicles in the correct lot area.
• Immediately advise a supervisor or lane captain of vehicle breakdowns and maintenance needs.
• Know, practice, and ensure company safety policies and procedures are followed at all times.
• Operate motor vehicles safely and use conservative, cautious, and courteous driving habits.
• Immediately report to a manager or supervisor anything that could jeopardize the ability to physically or legally operate a motor vehicle.
• Immediately report all driving-related incidents to a manager or supervisor, including traffic citations, warnings, accidents, or mechanical problems experienced on or off the job and on private or public property.
• Perform other job-related duties and follow job-related instructions as assigned.
