About The Position

Sale Day Drivers move vehicles through the auction lanes while the car auction is in progress. The role is scheduled one day per week, on Thursdays, approximately 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Drivers are trained on company safety procedures and must follow them at all times. The position requires working both indoors and outdoors in changing weather and other environmental conditions. Hiring is contingent on passing a background check; the role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver's license.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Ability to work outdoors in any type of weather conditions.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must pass a complete background check.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles across the auction block while following safety guidelines, including wearing a seatbelt, placing the vehicle in park or neutral when stopping, and following the ADESA wedge.
• Safely move, stage, and park vehicles in the correct lot area.
• Immediately advise a supervisor or lane captain of vehicle breakdowns and maintenance needs.
• Know, practice, and ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
• Operate motor vehicles safely and use conservative, cautious, and courteous driving habits.
• Immediately report to a manager or supervisor anything that could jeopardize the ability to operate a motor vehicle physically or legally.
• Immediately report driving-related incidents to a manager or supervisor, including traffic citations, warnings, accidents, and mechanical problems on private or public property, on or off the job.
• Perform other job-related duties and follow other job-related instructions as assigned.
