About The Position

The Salad Bar Helper provides courteous customer service and supports the bakery/deli manager with salad bar operations. Duties include preparing and displaying products, maintaining freshness and quality, keeping the work area clean, taking inventory, and assisting with associate training as directed. The role also helps enforce the company food safety program and performs other duties as needed. Food service experience is a plus but is not required. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and able to meet the role’s physical, mental, and visual demands, follow instructions, perform routine tasks, interact with others, and attend on-site work during scheduled shifts.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Ability to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands.
Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions.
Ability to perform routine and repetitive tasks.
Ability to maintain constant contact and interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis.
Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts and adhere to company time and attendance policies.

Nice To Haves

Food service experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

Provide efficient and courteous service to all customers.
Keep the workstation and surrounding area neat and clean.
Assist the bakery/deli manager with ordering, receiving, and displaying salad bar products.
Rotate merchandise when stocking to ensure freshness and quality.
Set up and maintain the salad bar as directed by the bakery/deli manager.
Wash and prepare products for the salad bar.
Take inventory of products as directed by the bakery/deli manager.
Assist with and coordinate training of salad bar associates as directed by the bakery/deli manager.
Maintain the quality and freshness of salad bar products.
Bail boxes.
Enforce and maintain the company food safety program.
Perform other duties as assigned.
