Salad Bar Helper
About The Position
The Salad Bar Helper provides efficient, courteous customer service and helps maintain the salad bar’s cleanliness, presentation, quality, and freshness. The role supports the bakery/deli manager with ordering, receiving, displaying, and inventorying products, as well as setting up and maintaining the salad bar. Duties also include washing and preparing food, rotating merchandise, assisting with associate training as directed, baling boxes, and enforcing the company food safety program. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions.
- Ability to perform routine and repetitive tasks.
- Ability to maintain daily contact and interaction with individuals at various levels.
- Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts and adhere to company time and attendance policies.
Nice To Haves
- Food service experience is a plus, but is not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide efficient and courteous service to all customers.
- Keep the workstation and surrounding area neat and clean.
- Assist the bakery/deli manager with ordering, receiving, and displaying salad bar products.
- Rotate merchandise when stocking to ensure freshness and quality.
- Set up and maintain the salad bar as directed by the bakery/deli manager.
- Wash and prepare products for the salad bar.
- Take product inventory as directed by the bakery/deli manager.
- Assist with and coordinate training of salad bar associates as directed by the bakery/deli manager.
- Maintain the quality and freshness of salad bar products.
- Bale boxes.
- Enforce and maintain the company food safety program.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
