About The Position

Prepare and display produce items for sale in an efficient, sanitary manner and in accordance with company standards and policies. Perform customer service functions and follow all company policies and procedures. The role involves preparing and maintaining salad bar products, keeping work areas clean and organized, safely using equipment and cleaning solutions, and providing courteous service to customers and associates.

Requirements

Willingness and availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Ability to read and prepare shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials, and bulletins.
Ability to work safely with various cleaning solutions, sharp tools, and food-processing equipment.
Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and willingness to help all department members.
Ability to handle stressful situations tactfully and calmly and make a positive impression on associates and customers.

Nice To Haves

Produce work experience or similar experience in food preparation.
A past work record reflecting dependability and integrity.
Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employment practices, OSHA compliance, and food handling.

Responsibilities

Prepare and display salad bar items safely in accordance with company standards, recipes, and policies.
Check product quality and ensure products are fresh, rotated, and stirred.
Sort and prepare salad bar products according to company quality and temperature policies.
Keep carts, tools, and supplies in designated areas and organized.
Keep sales areas, backrooms, and coolers clean and organized.
Communicate with customers and associates and foster good relations.
Wash and sanitize equipment according to company and Health Department policies and procedures.
Make a clean, neat, and friendly impression on customers.
Follow current Produce department and company rules and duties, as well as applicable state and federal laws.
Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions.
Follow company policies and procedures, particularly those concerning dress code, grooming, food safety, sanitation, and maintaining a workplace free of unlawful harassment or discrimination.
Maintain equipment and facilities properly and safely according to company policies and procedures.
Perform any and all duties as assigned.
