About The Position

General Trading Co., Inc. is seeking a hands-on Safety & Security Supervisor to support and strengthen warehouse operations, loss protection, and accountability across its distribution facility. This is a working supervisor role focused on active floor presence, investigation, and operational support in a high-volume warehouse environment, rather than a traditional security guard or desk-based position. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 12:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. or until work is finished. Weekends and holidays may be required based on operational demand, and flexibility is required. The work involves extensive walking and standing, movement between refrigerated, frozen, and ambient temperature areas, and operating in physically demanding, fast-paced conditions.

Requirements

Supervisory experience in security, warehouse operations, loss prevention, logistics, or related fields.
Strong understanding of distribution and warehouse environments.
Proven ability to investigate issues using observation, documentation, and verification.
Comfort addressing performance issues and enforcing standards.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High level of reliability, organization, and professionalism.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
Ability to perform extensive walking and standing throughout shifts and work in physically demanding conditions.
Ability to move regularly between refrigerated, frozen, and ambient temperature areas.
Comfort operating in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
Flexibility to work the stated schedule and weekends or holidays as operationally needed.

Responsibilities

Provide daily supervision and direction to Safety & Security Officers.
Maintain an active floor presence throughout warehouse, dock, and storage areas.
Monitor and investigate inventory discrepancies, damage, mis-picks, returns, and claims.
Identify patterns and root causes of loss and operational breakdowns.
Use CCTV systems to support documentation and investigations.
Prepare accurate reports and ensure timely follow-up.
Coach and develop officers to improve performance and accountability.
Enforce safety, security, and operational standards.
Coordinate corrective actions with warehouse leadership.
Support audits, inspections, and compliance activities.
Assist with scheduling, shift coverage, and performance management.
Serve as acting lead in the Director’s absence when required.
