About The Position

Friendship Village of Dublin is seeking a Safety & Security Associate to help protect residents, staff, visitors, and vendors in its retirement community. The role involves monitoring residential and non-residential areas, maintaining shift records and reports, controlling access to the building, and responding to resident emergency calls. This position is listed as “As Needed.”

Requirements

• Ability to work under pressure without constant direction and to respond positively and spontaneously to the needs of residents, staff, visitors, and vendors.
• Ability to handle multiple routine tasks while carefully following specific instructions and fully carrying out general instructions.

Nice To Haves

• Previous law enforcement or security experience.
• Previous customer service or hospitality experience.

Responsibilities

• Make rounds inside and outside the building, walking through all residential and non-residential areas according to established procedures.
• Communicate relevant information to oncoming officers at shift change and keep other security personnel and/or the Plant Director informed.
• Keep the shift log up to date and complete it by the end of the shift.
• Complete required reports, including fire-drill training reports and safety/fire inspection reports as needed.
• Lock and unlock doors at required times, check doors that should be locked, secure any unlocked doors and record them in the report log, and close and lock windows as required.
• Respond to the resident emergency call system.
