About The Position

Friendship Village of Dublin is seeking a Safety & Security Associate to help support the safety and security of its retirement community. The role includes monitoring residential and non-residential areas, maintaining shift logs and reports, securing doors and windows, and responding to resident emergency calls. The position is listed as “As Needed.”

Requirements

• Previous law enforcement or security experience preferred.
• Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure without constant direction and respond positively and spontaneously to the needs of residents, staff, visitors, and vendors.
• Ability to handle multiple routine tasks, follow specific instructions carefully, and carry out general instructions completely.

Responsibilities

• Make rounds inside and outside the building, walking through residential and non-residential areas according to established procedures.
• Communicate relevant information to oncoming officers at shift change and keep security personnel and/or the Plant Director informed.
• Keep the shift log current and complete it by the end of the shift.
• Complete required reports, including fire-drill training reports and safety/fire inspection reports as needed.
• Lock and unlock doors at required times; check doors that should be locked, secure any that are unlocked, and record findings in the report log; close and lock windows as required.
• Respond to the resident emergency call system.
