The Safety & Security Agent supports safe and secure flight turnarounds by screening passengers, baggage, cargo, and other property; controlling access to restricted areas; monitoring assigned areas; conducting patrols; and responding to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies. The role requires enforcing airport security requirements and company procedures while maintaining vigilance and providing professional customer service. The agent completes required reports and coordinates with airport authorities, law enforcement, airline representatives, and other authorized personnel. The position also participates in the company’s Safety Management System (SMS) and performs other duties as assigned. All employees are responsible for taking reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of others, complying with applicable aviation safety and security requirements, supporting a strong safety and security culture, and following company policies and training. Employees must promptly report hazards, near misses, incidents, accidents, dangerous occurrences, and serious or immediate safety or security concerns; attend required training; and maintain applicable qualifications and credentials. This is a fast-paced airport role requiring constant awareness of surrounding activity. The agent may work in terminals, gates, ramp areas, aircraft, and other operational environments, with varying noise levels and weather conditions. Scheduling must be flexible to accommodate mornings, evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as operationally required.
