Safety Manager | Corona, CA
About The Position
HazTek is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to oversee safety operations on commercial construction projects in Corona, California. The role leads efforts to build a culture where safety is a core value, ensure OSHA compliance, implement best safety practices, and help ensure workers go home safe each day. The Safety Manager oversees project safety operations, including subcontractors and contractors, and manages safety matters involving fall protection, scaffolding, steel erection, and excavation. California environmental compliance experience, including air permits, stormwater programs, and related regulations, is preferred. This is a local-only opportunity with no travel, per diem, or relocation offered.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of direct construction safety experience.
- Advanced knowledge of construction safety standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Nice To Haves
- Degree in a safety-related field.
- OSHA 510 and/or OSHA 500.
- CHST or CSP certification.
- Experience with California environmental compliance requirements, including air permits, stormwater programs, and related environmental regulations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of a commercial construction project to ensure OSHA compliance.
- Conduct daily safety meetings.
- Complete accident reports and conduct accident investigations.
- Perform daily safety audits and inspections.
- Oversee subcontractors and contractors.
- Oversee fall protection, scaffolding, steel erection, and excavation.
